Photovoice

Using photography and storytelling to express challenges and joys within their community, connect with others, raise awareness, and advocate for change. The youth addressed racial and environmental justice, experienced racial healing, and practiced artivism.


Racial Healing Sessions

A guided experience designed to encourage understanding, empathy, and connection. These sessions provide a safe space to have organic conversations and share your lived experiences. Together we experience the emotional and relational work of healing from racial trauma and division.

Land Stewardship

Native Berm – description: We practiced racial and environmental justice by restoring the land with flora indigenous to the area.

The purpose of regenerating this underutilized area was to reduce the impacts of:

  • Community flooding
  • Toxic landfill smells 

While increasing access to:

  • Beautification
  • Biodiversity
  • A meditative community space
  • Growing Produce – description: We practiced racial and environmental justice by restoring underutilized land, curing the soil into black gold using native land practices (3 sisters), and providing fresh, healthy food to the community.
